We had a fantastic time last saturday at the botanic gardens celebrating summer with our special Summer Yoga class. We had lots of fun with parachute games and fun yoga poses. For those who did not manage to make it to our class, here is how we spent a lovely morning of fun, exercise, focus, awareness and games in the Botanic Gardens.

Kiwi popsicle

We set our parachute and mats next to the Eco Lake with a beautiful view over the lake and the black swans and started by putting our yoga goggles.

We started our sequence with Sun Salutations to warm our little bodies and focus our little minds. We went through our downward dogs, upward dogs, plank pose and mountain pose

Our sequence included some poses that reminded us of the summer including Flower Pose, Tree pose (we even made a beautiful bouquet of flowers and forest of tress holding each others hands), Boat pose and other fun summer poses.

We also spent some time focusing on our breathing and getting some awareness on our senses and learnt the Bumblebee breath before finishing with our usual relaxation and meditation.

Feel free to try the sequence at home with your children and let us know how it went.

We hope you are having a fantastic summer and look forward to see you at our next event !

Stay fit, stay healthy & stay happy !

Sophie
